Find your Flow

Your Path Back to Flow, Alignment and the Life You Want

back to blog home

Can you relate to having that feeling of knowing what you want…and yet you’re still not quite creating it. Even if you’re making some forward movement, you somehow end up back at a standstill, starting over and still feeling blocked.

This cycle is so hard. You hit up against all your fears, blocks, limiting beliefs and are forced to keep going deeper. Or, you may disconnect for awhile pretending you’re ok living a smaller life where you’re not growing. But deep inside—you know that’s not really you. You have a purpose that’s bigger than yourself. You love being an inspiration for others. You love feeling good. You love being connected spiritually and growing.

I know this pattern because I lived it for years. Even though from the outside looking in it seemed as though I was making progress, I felt like something was missing. I doubted myself, and if I were enough.

I often asked myself: “Could this really happen for me?” “Did I even want more, or did I just want to simplify?”  I knew the answer to this. I knew with certainty I could create anything I truly wanted and was committed to. Yet, somehow I wasn’t committed to myself fully. I was still willing to play small and lack consistency. So, I sought out my old mentor to help me through this block postpartum.

I know if you’re still here reading my emails you’re probably like me. You KNOW you are capable of so much more. YOU desire more. And, not just more achievements.

More space, more intentional living, more fulfillment and focus. More flow and ease with the prosperity and lifestyle you truly desire.

I’m on a mission of mastery and to continue refining, growing and showing up together so we can all up-level. There’s a reason we’ve found each other and you’re in the right place.

So how did my mentor help me get back on track? And, how can it help you? The first thing he said to me surprised me. He said:

“Live with discipline.”

So, for that next week that was the word I lived with–Discipline. I thought about it getting out the door to take care of my physical body. I said it to myself when my thoughts were looping. When I reached to scroll, I repeated it again. When I didn’t want to move, I kept it in my head until I was called into movement.

It didn’t take long before actions that felt hard for a few days became second nature again. I didn’t have to think to take care of myself. There was nothing I loved more. I loved the upgrade in the energy I was feeling. The downloads, the synchronicities that started showing up. My flow back at a new level.

I was able to live into the intention of what I was creating and my why for having disciplined rituals expanded.

Discipline can feel really hard at first. It’s easy to stay comfortable and think that’s freedom. Some people fight so hard for their freedom not to take care of themselves but the consequences of not seeing and living in this truth are large.

When you remember short-term pleasure actually comes at the cost of your long-term vision, your health, your presence, your clarity, productivity, inspiration and so much more it’s easier to value yourself…

It’s worth looking at and asking yourself:

  • What’s the cost of my current habits?
  • Are they helping me or hindering me getting to my goals and dream life?
  • Are you someone who sees discipline as the path to the life you desire? OR, do you see it as frustrating or harsh?
  • Is where you’re focusing your attention allowing you to step fully into the you that’s present, inspired, aligned and in flow?

Here’s what’s really interesting. I discovered discipline isn’t about doing more, it’s about designing more

Designing what really helps you be the version of yourself that can create and have what you want.

Discipline allows the real you to show up. The one who is so regulated, present, consistent and safe that you naturally expand.

New thoughts come to you that are rooted in possibility rather than lack and fear.

People often talk about knowing their purpose or being driven by the impact they create. The truth is we can’t have any of that progress without disciplined action.

Discipline is what turns intention into impact. It allows your energy, gifts and radiance to come forward and create those moments of clarity that become your legacy. And, you don’t have to think decades down the road you just need to love yourself enough to choose yourself and want to feel aligned.

It starts with one step at a time. Saying yes to actions that serve and connect you, and no to what depletes and disconnects you.

1. Create Your Vision
Discipline without a vision and intention feels heavy.
Who are you serving?
What’s the ripple effect from showing up for yourself?
What do you gain from being an expanded, present, patient, grounded and loving version of yourself?

2. Create your Daily Non-Negotiable’s
Without a practice you can’t have what you want.
Is it movement, breath work, journaling, meditations, being in nature…? What do you need to truly thrive and show up as your most congruent self?

3. True Discipline is showing up for yourself—not a rigid calendar.
This isn’t about adding more on your plate or intensity, it’s about consistent, thoughtful and aligned action.
It’s following your flow. Allowing yourself space. Knowing when to course correct or readjust your calendar or how you do something. One day may be a more intense workout, another may be a more intense breath work session or maybe a soft hello to release what’s stuck or screaming for help. Staying present to your needs with the focus on regulation and how you’re showing up for your day.

  • Holding loving boundaries with yourself, your needs and others.
  • Rather than multi-tasking, create containers of chunked time.
  • Rather than scrolling or checking out, choose education or inspiration.
  • Notice what drains you versus nourishes you.

4. Build Your Self-Trust and Self-Worth
This comes from showing up for yourself.
There’s a saying, ‘you get rewarded in public for what you practice in private.’ It’s not about the reward per-say, but the pay off is you fulfilled, aligned and expanding your capacity and life. It’s people wanting to connect with you, invite you into their community, wanting to know your secrets. Prosperity starts with these steps done over and over and over again.

This is a practice. You will fall out of it. You may feel frustrated and like you’re climbing up the mountain again. That’s ok. Each time is a gentler and easier return to yourself.

Everything you want begins with YOU.

Love,

Laurin
