Have you questioned and reflected on what your legacy means to you?
- What does legacy mean to you?
- Is it something you think about often?
- Is it something you think is down the road?
- Or, is it only about when you’re no longer here in physical form?
I was looking at my footprints in the sand today and thinking about what legacy really means to me. It’s interesting because years ago I had the idea for a legacy foundation and fund and really wanted to focus on many aspects of what this means and how I could bring people together and help concepts come to life. I never pursued that idea completely but it came flooding back today in a different way.
What are the footprints we leave behind? This doesn’t have to only be about when we’re gone.

What is the ripple effect that you create where you go?
Do you enter a room, vacation or project with intention? With congruence? Do you heal yourself so you can show up open, resilient and adaptable?
Every moment of presence or pressure together adds up to how you show up and how people feel around you.
On a scale of 1-10, what has been most dominant for you? Pressure or purpose?
I invite you to reflect on today so far, where do you find yourself? Over this past week?
This inquiry isn’t about judgment or not doing enough, it’s about conscious reflection and building your choice. Sometimes you may need to engage some new tools or reignite some discipline so you can show up for yourself again.
If someone described how they felt after being with you, what would you want them to say? If you’re being honest with yourself, is this what you perceive your loved ones, peers and others would say now?
If not, what’s one small step towards the living legacy you wish to leave?
- Do people feel safe to be open and vulnerable with you? Do they come to you for the big and small stuff?
- Do you feel your energetic presence consistently throughout your day?
- Do you feel overwhelmed, anxious and reactionary?
- Or do you find yourself clear-minded, grounded and grateful?
- Have you paused and reflected how your interactions ripple past the individual, group or product you share?
- Does that feel aligned for you? Or, is it something you’ve been hoping to change?
We’re all human, we have seasons of growth and transition. Ones where we’re learning and seemingly moving backwards. Remember, you are always on your path but it’s up to you if you are aware of your possibility and lovingly creating, or allowing emotions, chaos and a lack of discipline to destroy and trap you in survival mode.
My intention is that we each continue to show up fully and take steps every day towards being even more fully our aligned and connected selves.
Here are some habits that have significantly helped me.
1. Consistent Intentions: A pause, grounding meditation and clarity before interactions. That can be meetings, client calls, moments with friends/family decisions to be made. Asking what specifically is guiding my reply? Does it serve my highest good? Gaining clarity in the evenings about my intentions for the following day along with my highest priorities.
2. Gratitude Journal: What am I most grateful for? Who did I serve today?
3. Ripple Effect Reflection: What did I put into the world today? How clear was my energy? Did it feel representative of who I am and who I want to be?
Remember a legacy doesn’t just happen, it’s a reflection of how you show up each day…for yourself and for others.

With love,
Laurin & Chloe (my daughter inspired this one and she’s very much a part of my conscious legacy and choice)
