Today’s Find Your Flow message is about trusting your timing — especially when something feels so close, but not quite aligned enough to say yes.
It can be so tempting to just make something work that’s close enough, and there’s such a difference when your heart’s all in it and when it’s not.
I’m not talking about waiting around for perfect pictures, but I am talking about pausing until you’re clear and not sacrificing your deal breakers.
Lately, I’ve been on a journey of looking for a new home — not just a house, but a settled environment where I can raise Chloe with more safety, stability, and community. A place that feels grounding, supportive, and nourishing for the life we’re building. A place that’s inviting, inspiring and healing and can hold transformation and expansion for myself, my vision and my clients.
What’s been interesting is that I have found options.
Places that make sense on paper.
Places that are “almost there.”
And yet… something in me hasn’t fully relaxed.
Instead of feeling like an exhale, it felt a little forced. Like I was trying to make something fit because it was close enough — rather than letting myself wait for what truly feels like home in my body and nervous system.
That pause brought up a deeper lesson for me. And, is guiding me to ask some new questions and have the courage to explore a little further what I say I want.
Sometimes the most aligned choice isn’t pushing forward or settling for “good enough.”
Sometimes it’s trusting that the timing — and the vision — are still unfolding.
So rather than forcing a decision, I’m choosing to create more freedom and space where I am, and I’m exploring options I never thought could be possibilities. I’m actually surprised how much ease I’m finding in the exploration. I’ve been in a new state for a week and while I’m not moving tomorrow I can feel my energy opening up. I’m trusting the next choice for me will arrive in its perfect timing that’s not necessarily on my mind’s timeline that can feel rushed at times.
So I ask myself: “What are the benefits of waiting at this time?” And, those answers feel much better than the reasons for rushing.
What I’ve realized is that stability isn’t always about locking something in right away. Stability is created by trusting yourself enough to wait. Loving and honoring yourself on your path versus what may logically make sense. You may not be able to explain it to someone else and that’s ok.
Sometimes there aren’t even words or an explanation that can make sense. Remember, there’s no need to defend yourself. ‘I made a decision’ is enough of an answer.
By honoring the wisdom that says, not yet — without making that mean something is wrong.
You don’t have to force your way to your next level. When there’s tension and a rush that doesn’t have energy aligned with it, allow it to be a not right now.
Sometimes a quick decision can have a sense of knowing and ease–in those times—say yes, even when it’s a lot because it will come together. The key is to feel those subtleties within you.
Of course, you can make it happen. Remember, a pause can be extremely powerful as well. This is often the path or inner strength and growth. Powering through and making something that appears successful is usually considered strength and success in our society. You get to choose for yourself.
You can build your self-trust that allows for an even greater outcome that may be hard for people to see because it starts inside of you. You become safe inside yourself first. You start to speak to yourself differently. You feel into new possibilities that before felt like blocks.
I don’t believe in right or wrong choices here. There are different learnings and opportunities with each decision you make.
You may feel pressure to decide, commit, or choose before something truly lands. I find this especially true when I’m craving space, safety, certainty, or relief.

Forcing timing often creates subtle tension, while aligned timing creates ease, connection and flow.
Trusting your timing doesn’t mean doing nothing. It’s an active process of exploring without forcing, and preparing without rushing.
It’s a deep act of self-trust, intuition and knowing.
Some reflection questions for you this weekend:
• Where in my life am I close to a decision, but not fully settled yet?
• Am I moving from alignment… or from pressure to “figure it out”?
• What would it feel like to give myself permission to wait a little longer?
• How can I create more safety, freedom, or stability right now, even before the next step arrives?
• What new possibilities might open if I loosen my attachment to how I think this should look?
• If I trusted my timing completely, what would change in how I’m approaching this season?
There is wisdom in the pause and patience.
And there is so much connection, clarity and confidence that comes from honoring where you truly are — not where you think you should be by now.
If this message resonates, I invite you to take a few quiet moments this weekend to breathe, soften, and remind yourself:
What’s meant for me doesn’t need to be forced.
With love,
Laurin
