Do you ever have those times when you’re struggling and you just feel off? 

I felt so stuck and frozen yesterday for a few hours and couldn’t get to sleep and started feeling overwhelmed. 

I finally realized, I have a lot of energy in my space that’s not just mine that I took responsibility for and it was impacting me unconsciously so much  more than I was aware of. This is why owning your space consistently is so important (and having the proper tools to build your awareness and move people out). 

You merge energies when you match on doubts, fears, judgments, anger, or perfect pictures. This isn’t good or bad, it’s a normal process and yet it’s one you want to be aware of as often as you can so you can hold your vibration strongly. 

Energetic cleansing is just as important as physical hygiene, and it actually requires even more time and conscious attention. 

It’s also why I love the DeMartini method, because it’s the only method that clears specific judgments, quiets your noise and helps you uplevel consistently. Otherwise we often repeat patterns over and over and then our active meditations are even more necessary. 

I was speaking with a client yesterday and gave this example I want to share with you. 

Imagine you’re driving somewhere. There are most likely many different  routes you can take. 

For me, there’s this one doctor I go to and for some reason even two hours before I feel concerned about the timing. I’ve noticed there’s a route that feels easy and flows (often the highway) and a route that I constantly hit traffic and construction blocks. 

I’ve also noticed it’s not just the route I take, it’s my energy and clarity before I start driving that determines how my trip will go and whether I’ll feel stressed about being on time. Sometimes I think I’m going to take the highway and then I end up trying the street route. Sometimes even with the blocks I can have an easy drive, and sometimes it feels hard. 

You always choose if something is easy or hard based on your perceptions, not your experience. 

I’ve never actually been late, but the feeling of being late can cause me lots of stress or I can arrive on time with ease–it depends on me even more than the external circumstances.

I’ve also witnessed that I can arrive early even though I felt stressed driving or, I can arrive early with a plan to make a certain call, take a few minutes for a specific meditation or some body scanning and then I feel at ease throughout my drive. 

Let’s say you’re having a challenging day, you may start driving and find yourself in more traffic than you thought or constantly turning down the most congested street or one with construction. It feels a little bumpy getting there and you find yourself stressed and getting worked up. 

Imagine you’re really flowing and maybe you thought about taking that same street yet somehow you switched gears and took the highway or a different route and it felt easy and kept moving. Or, maybe you still took the street route, had some congestion but you had some quiet time to think, or listen to a book or music or made a call…you made the most of the extra time without feeling distressed. 

I often notice this with parking spots too. When I’m in flow, feeling at ease and set an intention for easy parking I notice someone pulling out right where I’m going or I remember that lot down the street. 

When things feel hard, things get harder.

Those times I’m annoyed and feel like I’ll never find a spot..it takes forever. Again, it’s your choice. It doesn’t always mean you get a spot in front. It means, you see other options, have a plan, have enough time or communicate with ease and arrive intact instead of fragmented. 

Same route. Often the same arrival time. Different Internal experience and outcome. 

This is your reminder it’s always about how you’re being, more than the process or the action of driving/working/parenting itself. 

Being in your flow is a conscious choice and commitment to doing what serves you most in the moment. It’s about being willing to reset your energy and course correct as needed. Taking that extra deep breath. Saying yes to something for yourself. You’ve got this.
