Today is about leaning into an area of life where you’re being called to focus or up-level so you can move closer to your dreams.
I had a lot of stagnant energy lately and I just couldn’t quite get clear on a few things I say I want. Even though my actions may seem to be aligned with creating these outcomes, I realize I have some conflicting ideas about what I want, and when I’m in a place of trust I realize it’s not quite time yet. I’m also allowing space for the possibility that it may look different than I’ve previously imagined.
Have you ever wanted to rush an outcome before?
It can be frustrating when you feel like nothing’s coming together or working out. Or you can choose to see the gift in the feedback and take an intentional pause.
Instead of staying hyper focused on what I thought I wanted that wasn’t happening, I chose to take a step back and look at what helpful steps could I take that would move me in the direction I’m heading.
Sometimes these steps are directly related to your goals and sometimes they’re actually in a completely different area of life where you’re feeling lack and stuck.
I was talking to one of my mentors today and I realized I finally have some momentum and clarity. One of the reasons I’ve had more movement is because I got clear on some specific actions in two areas of my life where I can create better habits that will increase my self-worth and being that will allow clarity and greater possibility in the direction I want.

As we were talking today I also realized that my creative flow has been shifting. I used to want back what had worked but I’m here to remind you that sometimes we need an intentional and active pause while we move into what’s next.
I’ve been really intentional with my time, catching myself when I’m out of my flow, trust and connection and choosing my actions, state of being and what I’m focusing on.
Here are a few questions to journal with today or this weekend:
(I’m walking you through my answers so you get an idea.)
- What’s something you’ve been wanting to create or have for yourself? (Find a forever home)
- Are you taking consistent action in that direction? (Yes, I look all the time)
- Are you believing in the possibility of having it? (Sometimes, but I’m actually not 100% sure where I want the home to be — see one challenge with finding it)
- Are your actions aligned with your timing? (No. I still love where I am and I don’t feel completely ready to leave. I love the idea of leaving but I still perceive more benefits to staying where I am. Financially it would be wiser to wait.)
I’m finally choosing to lean into an active exploration period that doesn’t have to lead somewhere. I don’t rush the process. I don’t have to look. When I’m inspired I check things out and each time I look I gain some clarity about what’s important to me. I’m exploring different cities that I hadn’t thought of before and feel so much more freedom in being open.
If you see/feel a conflict from answering the above–I invite you to ask yourself:
- What areas of life have you been feeling stuck in?
- Where could you use more discipline and results?
- What area/areas of life could you focus on that could help you free up space and create movement?
- What can you let go of to create more space for yourself?
Allowing life to be the journey that it is IS A Practice. There is no rush. You can be present in each moment you choose without reaching some end goal.
I also love to remind myself ‘PROGRESS EQUALS FULFILLMENT’. Taking daily actions that nurture yourself, respect your time, body and finances may be even more important than staying focused on your goal.
I know for me the more I focus on buying or building a home the more stress and need I feel. The more I allow space for active and open exploration and new habits around my finances and physical body, the more ease and clarity I feel. That will come and feel much better when my knowing is clear versus rushing and trying to make it happen somewhere I may not be meant to be.
I hope this helps you find even more ease and clarity for something in your own life that maybe’s been feeling a little stuck or heavy.
Csn’t wait to hear from you. Please keep sharing your messages of what you’re learning, what you need help with so I can keep meeting you where you are.
With love,
Laurin xx
