Let’s take a little inventory together today.
What does productivity mean to you? Does it mean staying busy or being focused and purposeful? Do you connect to your visions and desires consistently, or do you tend to go about your day and week?
I invite you to reflect on some questions:
- Are you often doing more or less than you desire?
- Are you consistent with your rituals and movement towards your goals?
- Do you have real goals or more shoulds?
- Do you find yourself spontaneously inspired into aligned action?
- Or, do you find yourself procrastinating and taking about what you need to do?
- Do you live more consistently with pressure or purpose?
I’ve been working with some people this week and the conversations are going one of two ways.
I’m noticing people are either completely overwhelmed, living in the future, trying to fit in so much for everyone else and that they’re often staying busier than productive and efficient.
Then, I’m seeing the complete flip side.
Having glimpses of a vision but feeling frozen. Doing less than their normal, even feeling depressed, low energy and abandoning the rituals that usually keep them focused.
I know I’ve personally been on both sides of this challenge at different times, so today’s find your flow message is about choosing wisely what productivity truly means to you.
When an action doesn’t fit into one of your highest values and isn’t helping you move closer to your vision or your expanded version…it may be time to reorganize your energy.
Imagine you have a certain amount of battery power per day. When you drain that energy you lose the ability to be in your flow easily. You get clogged up emotionally, energetically, physically and spiritually. Choices can feel heavier and more weighted, often indecision kicks in, you lose efficiency and neutrality and communication and bandwidth can suffer.
I know this season of my life as a new mom has had a lot of days where I have to work much harder than I’m used to to keep my standard of being. Especially in the beginning I was so often reactive, scattered and not my best self. My baseline dropped and I really had to work to reset and catch myself as I’m slowly building my capacity back up.
The benefit is I’m using the most simple and effective tools towards fulfillment, flow and ease so I can share from a very different perspective than when it really was such an engrained part of my being because my only responsibility was often to myself and my energy for my teaching.
I do notice though when we skip on the rituals, meditations, movements… it’s so much more effort to feel like YOU.
The You that truly knows who you are, that feels supported, that believes in yourself and sees possibility before effort and doubt. The you that radiates truth, presence, purpose and grace.
Remember being in your flow isn’t about constantly doing, it’s about aligned, focused and purposeful action.
The more consistently you choose this grounded, connected and aligned version of yourself you’ll start to move from “How can I get x done” “ How can I get through x” to “What would help me access the most connected part of myself so I can work on/complete/move towards x result in the most clear-minded, efficient and inspired way possible.”
When you ask new questions…you get new answers.

Ask yourself before bed each night or journal:
1. What are you most grateful for from today?
2. What’s something that truly matters to you tomorrow?
3. What would you love to improve upon from today?
4. Any reminders you want to capture that could help you tomorrow about how you show up for yourself or others?
The invitation here isn’t for perfection or doing anything all the time, it’s about having even more choice about your actions and choosing rituals and practices that help you elevate yourself, your goals and your productivity.
Also, as always, I love to hear from you. Any topics you’d love for me to cover as we move into the holidays?
With love,
